On behalf of Peʻahi Hui and our esteemed team of judges, I am excited to introduce you to an exhilarating and innovative event, the 2024-2025 Peʻahi Challenge - a virtual big-wave surf contest like no other.
With a 120-day holding period that allows for peak wave conditions, male and female participants from around the world can showcase their skills through verified, time-stamped, digital submissions, enabling a truly global competition that honors one of the world’s largest surf breaks, Peʻahi.

reaching more than 3 million viewers.
- Purpose: Promoting big wave surfing athletes of all ages and gender with increased recognition to amateur, underground and break-through surfers. Promoting ocean awareness and conservation through a digital contest format rather than holding a two day in person event shown to produce high levels of ocean and land pollution.
